Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD)
For nearly a decade, The Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), a London-based ‘think and do tank’ has pioneered policy and operational responses to the rising challenge of violent extremism across ideologies.
ISD Projects and Initiatives
The Policy Planners’ Network on Countering Radicalisation and Polarisation (PPN) is made up of the security and integration ministries of ten European countries and one North American country: the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Spain and Canada. Set up in 2008 and facilitated by ISD.
Quilliam, in their own words, is the world’s first counter-extremism think tank set up to address the unique challenges of citizenship, identity, and belonging in a globalised world. Quilliam stands for religious freedom, equality, human rights and democracy.
International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR)
ICSR’s mission is to bring together knowledge and leadership. Producing first class, rigorous research, our aim is to educate the public and help policymakers and practitioners find more intelligent solutions in dealing with radicalisation and political violence.
To offer young leaders from Israel and the Arab world the opportunity to come to develop their ideas on how to further peace and understanding in the Middle East in a politically neutral environment.
Jane’s Terrorism & Insurgency Centre
This world-leading resource delivers global open-source intelligence (OSINT) into the threats posed to governments, national security organizations and businesses by non-state armed groups. Built on a comprehensive database of events with advanced search, comparison and visualization tools, it includes analysis reports, live briefings and an archive of data for trend analysis.
Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV)
The Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) is dedicated to the study of the causes, dynamics, characteristics and consequences of terrorism and related forms of political violence. In doing so, it is committed to rigorous, evidence-based, scholarly analysis that is policy-relevant but independent.
Violence and Extremism Programme
The Violence and Extremism Programme looks at extreme and violent movements in the UK, Europe, and North America: al-Qaeda inspired terrorism, far-right and white supremacism, religious and political extremism, cults and gangs.
